I run this site to provide an insightful, impartial source of information – resources, tools, reviews, tips, links – to help answer your questions and provide ideas on how to grow your own audience, get your message across, have a conversation, promote your content, or sell your swag. Hopefully it’ll save you time, take some of the frustration out of marketing, digital, promotional tools, and choice, so you can concentrate on what you do.

Who’s behind SoundInsights?

Hi, I’m David – music, live events, travel and environment enthusiast. 15 years in marketing in music and entertainment – with work covering Ticketmaster, Live Nation Entertainment, Blues Matters! Records, Time Out, the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, and loads of clients and freelance work covering tours, festivals, major and independent labels, artists, DSPs and music platforms, and environmental projects too. It’s taken me very fortunately to live in 3 of the most culturally rich cities – London, Paris, and Rio de Janeiro – working with fantastic people on great projects. I’ve a Masters (MSc) in Marketing, a qualified SOSTAC® strategist, and Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM). You can see more on my LinkedIn profile here.

I’m now trying to put this into helping others achieve their goals and get their voices heard. I try to take the stress out of marketing, working together to solve problems, grow fan bases, and I take pride in providing an open, honest, personal  approach to collaborating together.
